THE HULL ROYAL INFIRMARY UFO AND THE TRANBY LANE UFO
After speaking on the telephone at some length, Terry Jenkins kindly wrote me a letter detailing what he could recall of his UFO encounter which, to the best of his knowledge, happened around 14 years ago . "I have always been interested in the unknown", said Terry," but this was incredible - a UFO!"

The UFO encounter  took place whilst Terry was having a pint or two with a good friend, Clive, now sadly deceased, in the George pub on Walton Street. The friends often frequented  The George  because  Clive was a wheelchair user and this particular pubs was one of the few at the time with wheelchair access.
Terry recalled that during the course of one  late July/August eveningnthe pub become rather warm and, so, he and Clive went outside into the beer garden. To their surprise they found a group of other drinkers standing on the pub's garden wall looking out towards Hull Royal Infirmary on nearby Anlaby Road.  "I asked one of the guys who I knew what was the attraction," Terry recalled. In reply the man "pointed to a very bright light, to the far left of the infirmary high above. It appeared to be a very bright headlight effect, which had been there for some time".  Terry recalled that he watched for around ten minutes and that the light "never moved". After a while Terry ent back inside the pub.
Intrigued by  what he had seen, however, some minutes later Terry returned back outside with Clive and saw that an even larger crowd had now gathered to stare at the strange light in the sky.  "Suddenly  we heard a plane…quite low, heading for Kirmington airport. The bright light then took over the plane and seemed to slow down…above us. It was a huge silver disc, the underneath was flashing amber/red, and it sped off at a very fast speed over taking the plane easily."

As  a very interesting postscript to the Royal Infirmary UFO, Terry said  that  a  few weeks after his own sighting,  his wife, Lynn, also encountered a UFO. Apparently she was on her way to pick up their daughter from a school disco at  Hessle High School, around 8-9PM, when she heard a low  humming sound emanating from  above. Approaching Tranby Lane, Lynn looked up and saw a disc- shaped craft with flashing amber/red lights  similar to the Royal Infirmary UFO.  After her strange encounter , Lynn apparently ran home to tell Terry what she had seen. However, when Terry went out to check out the strange object in the sky, it had disappeared.

A BEVERLEY UFO
A cigar-shaped UFO with several bright golden or amber lights was spotted by Ms. Jan Hunter on Tuesday, October 17, 2000, near Beverely, East Yorkshire. According to the witness the UFO, which was comprised of horizontal running lights,  remained motionless in the dark night sky. When she first noticed the lights, Ms. Hunter reported seeing something 'flash'. The UFO evidently just disappeared. Source(s): www.ufology.org.uk 13/04/02 & UFO Magazine March/April 2001
